Sheri Miraglia has been working as a scientist and teacher since 1990. While earning her Ph.D. studying protein-lipid interactions, she taught Chemistry at Saddleback College. After graduating, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked as a post-doctoral fellow and then as a scientist studying stem cells and developing cell-based assay instrumentation for use in pharmaceutical drug discovery. During the period from 1994-1997, she taught at 亚色影库 in the Biology Department, and she returned as a full-time faculty member in 2009.
Dr. Miraglia has served as a college SLO coordinator and as a member of the Academic Senate Executive Council. She is currently co-chair of the Accreditation Steering Committee. However, what she loves most is spending time with students in the microbiology laboratory - culturing, staining, and microscopic imaging of bacteria and unicellular eukaryotes.
